Slack notifications

  1. In Slack, create an app with Incoming Webhooks enabled and add a webhook for the channel that should receive alerts.
  2. Copy the webhook URL. It starts with https://hooks.slack.com/; other URLs are rejected.
  3. In UptimeVanguard, open Settings → Notification Channels, click Add Channel, select Slack, paste the URL and save.
  4. Click Send Test to confirm that the message arrives.

To send different sites to different Slack channels, create one Slack notification channel per webhook and assign them to the sites.

Slack receives downtime, recovery, TLS, DNS and scan alerts. It does not receive performance alerts.

If alerts stop arriving, check that the Slack app is still installed, that the webhook was not revoked, and that the channel is enabled in UptimeVanguard. If you regenerate the webhook, update the URL on the channel's edit page.
